American Rhetoric – Famous Speeches
American Rhetoric is a good website to find famous speeches from our history to use in the classroom.
The speech of the week is President Franklin D Roosevelt as he addressed the Congress to declare war on Japan after the horrific attack on Pearl Harbor. It is this day on December 7th, sixty-eight years ago in 1941 the event took place an awoke “a sleeping giant” to enter World War II. Here is the link to American Rhetoric.
